UCG is proud to have been appointed as a trusted field service partner to Enable, fibre broadband network provider. Commencing in March 2026, and to support a 12-month project, this partnership reflects UCG’s proven track record in delivering high-quality fibre connection services, underpinned by our commitment to best industry practice, health and safety, and exceptional customer experience.
Under this agreement, UCG is responsible for connecting end users’ premises to Enable’s fibre network across Greater Christchurch, supporting the ongoing rollout and conversion of residential and commercial customers to ultrafast fibre broadband. This includes the transition of customers to Enable’s world-class FTTH infrastructure, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every Cantabrian connected.
The services UCG provides include:
- New Fibre Connection Installations to residential and commercial premises
- Transfer of end users to Enable’s FTTH Network
- Civil works including duct and tube installation, excavation, and full surface reinstatement
- Fibre installation using Air Blown Fibre (ABF) technology from network elements to premises
- Installation and configuration of Enable-standard customer equipment (ETP, ITP, ONT, RGW)
- Right of Way back-boning services, including design, civil works, and handover documentation
- Removal of old equipment as part of the network conversion programme
- End-to-end order management and scheduling, including appointment coordination with end users
- Compliance reporting to support Enable’s operational and regulatory requirements
