Project Details:
The World Bank is sponsoring several initiatives in the Pacific Island nations for the deployment of Fibre to the Home (FTTH) networks. More than just a technological advancement, FTTH represents a commitment to empowering communities, fostering innovation, and catalysing economic growth. By bridging the digital divide and enhancing communication infrastructures, these initiatives aim to create a more connected and resilient future for Pacific Island nations.
UCG is proud to play a pivotal role in this journey, with our involvement encompassing architecture development, network design, introduction of air blown fibre technology, and construction support activities. These initiatives not only bring cutting-edge technology to these nations but also empowers local technicians by equipping them with new skills for network construction and maintenance, ensuring sustainability and self-reliance in the long term.
Currently, we have contracts to deliver these services in three Pacific Island nations: Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, and Tuvalu. Through collaboration and innovation, we are committed to driving positive change and creating a lasting impact in these communities.
